Trekking the Annapurna alone (well, not entirely alone, with my guide, Tirtha) was one of the best trips I have ever made in my life. It wasn't a trip to the Everest Base Camp, but was all the same challenging for me. Many a times halfway through, I stopped and asked myself the reason for embarking on this difficult journey.

But the satisfaction at the end was indescribable.

Everyone I met was warm and welcoming. The hospitality extended by the families I stayed with in their humble lodgings made my trip incredibly memorable.

The world was indeed smaller in Nepal.
